Recently, I was combing the aisles of Sephora for something new. Anything that popped out at me really- when there it was- a new amazing item was staring me straight in the eye. Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. A peel-off mask to be exact.
I LOVE a good mask. I think other than getting my hair shampooed at the salon- this is my sweet beauty obsession that can never get old.
Let’s back track a bit- I have HUGE pores on my face. (thanks dad for your genes to oily, iffy skin) and they tend to get clogged. I will occasionally get the random pimple but my biggest face concern other than wrinkling prematurely is blackheads. With big pores comes big blackheads. Totally gross. I know you are picturing it and I advise you not to…. because it’s disgusting. As a teenager, I would pick at them until my skin was so red it looked like it was one fire. This only lead to more unwanted attention from the inflammation I was causing but constantly bothering it. Once in college, my girlfriends introduced me to face masks and my life has never been the same since. (thanks ladies, I owe you BIG time)

Now- back to the present. When you love face masks you have no fear in trying them. This lead to me promptly picking up the Boscia mask- reading the the label to see what it was for and paying for it at the cash wrap. Happy day and on my way to Boscia face mask heaven.

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
On back of bottle information: An innovative peel-off mask that helps boost skin clarity and minimize the appearance of pores.
Application Directions as read off back of bottle: Apply a thick, opaque, even layer to clean, dry skin. Avoid eye area, eyebrows, hairline and lips. Leave on for 30 minutes or until completely dry. Gently peel off mask from outer edges and rinse off any residue.
I follow the directions on point and set my timer for 30 minutes. In those 30 minutes- I catch up on my E! News and FaceTime with my husband who is now used to seeing me in face masks. Once my time is up, I start peeling. Am I the only one who finds this to be the best part of a peel-off mask? I think it goes back to my obsession with putting glue on my hand as a child and peeling it off…. haha.
Okay- back to story at hand.
The peeling is pretty easy for the most part. I did find a couple hairs that were trapped in the mask from my head… now I get why they say AVOID THE HAIRLINE. It was a tad painful removing the mask in that area to say the least. A little bit of the mask was harder to get off in certain areas (where it wasn’t applied as thick). I was able to easily remove those areas with a wet washcloth.

Overall: I LOVED this mask. I will definitely use it again. When drying, my face felt nice and tight and after removal my pores were visibly smaller. My skin felt so smooth and fresh. Not only did it help my pores but I feel it helped my forehead expression lines as well! Just another reason why this product get the Swanky Stamp of Approval! I encourage all of you to try it! Girls night in, perhaps?!
