Normally in my posts- I would say- “Back to Basics” and write about clothing or makeup…. but today, it’s all about being “Back to Baseball”.
Yep, you guessed it…. It’s spring training time already. My husband reported to spring training on Thursday for the Baltimore Orioles Baseball Organization. This is huge for us! First off, we are with a new team this year. Secondly, we aren’t in Fort Myers anymore. And thirdly, life is getting back to normal.
I know that most of you think spring training and your husband being MIA every day is not normal- but it is normal for us. The entire 4 years that my husband and I have been together- this has been a normal piece of the puzzle for us. When baseball season starts up, it’s like our life is getting back to normal. Now, don’t judge because I do LOVE my husband, but a person gets so used to being independent in this lifestyle and when season ends and you are constantly around each other again- it can be hard. With this being said- as much as I dread Spring Training knowing how much I am going to miss my husband, I do know that a sense of normalcy is coming back into our lives.

We are so excited to be with the Baltimore Orioles this year. We were just up in Baltimore for Fan Fest at the end of January and it was so nice getting to see the area, meet the team, and get to know the wives and girlfriends. This is something completely new to us. The entire time Liam and I have been together, he has been part of the Minnesota Twins baseball organization. As much as we will miss living in our own home for spring training in Fort Myers, we are excited to see what the city of Sarasota is like! Some people can’t handle change- but in this lifestyle you have to learn to embrace it. Change is good. Being a baseball wife is not for the faint of heart. This lifestyle can be very difficult but also extremely rewarding.
I can’t wait to keep you up to date on all things “Spring Training”. I hope everyone had an amazing Valentine’s Day! xo
