I travel a lot. During the baseball season, I am usually on a plane about once every 10 days or sooner. So what do I do… I read magazines. This is where my whole obsession started.

I love Channing Tatum. I mean, come on ladies??? Who doesn’t love a man that can dance so well and look so good at the same time?! But as I say this, I am absolutely OBSESSED with his gorgeous wife, Jenna Dewan- Tatum. I mean, look at this couple. The epitome of gorg! They both having rocking bodies, beautiful smiles and look absolutely in love. I can’t wait to see their kids one day. Wow.
So as I am on a plane- headed to somewhere- I come across an article called “What’s in My Bag?” in the latest issue of US weekly magazine. (now remember, this was months ago) The spotlight this week is on Jenna so I obviously dive right in!!! How can you not?
She goes thru the items in her purse, pretty typical, but the one thing that stops me in my tracks is the Shu Uemura eyelash curler. How have I never heard of this product before when Jenna swears by it? So I decided that once I landed, I was going to start my research.

Day 5: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
This is now a product I cannot live without as well.
As most of you do, you buy a normal eyelash curler from your local drug store or makeup counter and live your life. You think that every eyelash curler is the same and that it doesn’t matter the brand as long as it does it’s job- curl your eyelashes. Wrong. Exactly. And this is why. It has a longer bed plate so that your lashes actually curl instead of just getting bent at an upward angle (i.e.-makes them look shorter and damaged). If they are only going to bend your lashes in half why go through the process of curling your lashes at all? The point is to elongate your lashes and make them appear fuller- not shorten and bend them in half! The Shu Uemura eyelash curler also has a curved angle when it curls so that every single strand is in the curler instead of some going astray and having to curl in sections. This product is a favorite among many celebrity makeup artists too…. once you use this product you will know why.
The only problem I found with the Shu Uemura eyelash curler was the fact that you could no longer find it in stores. It has moved to being “online only”.
